Poetry of Heart
I will of what you ask of me,
If you can but say,
I will of what you ask of me,
Without furthermore delay.
I will of what you ask of me,
And should that something be,
That you I should love for all my life,
I can do that you shall see.
I will of what you ask of me,
To take a path unto the depths of Hell.
I will attempt to find the lair,
Of the devil should you but tell.
I will of what you ask of me,
To find where the world does end,
And all to please you too, my dear,
As a willows branches bend.
I will of what you ask of me,
To fly to the moon and catch a star,
Nothing would seem too ridiculous,
No distance would seem too far.
I will of what you ask of me,
To entrap the ocean within a grain of sand,
I could only endeavor with my heart,
To hold the sun within my hand.
I will of what you ask of me,
To walk night unto the day,
And do so for a hundred years,
Should it be of what you say.
I will of what you ask of me,
Even if it is that I must love you not,
I will undertake this too, my dear,
Though it is asking rather a lot.
I will of what you ask of me,
That much is my love for you,
Even should it break my heart,
You're my heart, and to it I must be true.
