Poetry of Heart
You Completed Me
What would be the flower without the stem
She would whither and soon die,
As both of them together
Would wilt without bright sky.

Or the mountains with no trees
They would look so bare,
No gently falling leaves to adorn them
And lend to them sweet air.

What would be the lake without her fish
She would in desperation be,
With no life to hold within her soul
As she went searching through eternity.

Or no sand meeting any sea
What an odd thing that would be to discover,
The smooth and yielding sand,
Parted from her all encompassing lover.

What would be the Earth with no Moon
To give the essence of magic to the night,
She would mourn in silent darkness
Without the Moon to lend her light.

Or I without you, my dear,
Such a thing I cannot likewise see,
It is as all these things require the other
And as such, you completed me.
