Poetry of Heart
I exist for time and time alone,
Time that moves as a butterflies wings
Upon a gentle summer breeze
When I feel your hand against my cheek.
Time that flutters as angels wings
Sound a silent song of heaven
When the softness of your voice stills the air.
I exist for time as minutes
Pass on into days, weeks, months,
And I know not you, but only
The emptiness of the place you fill
When your sunlight is present.
I exist for time and time alone,
Time that forgets its own name
As the sun forgets the night
To allow its beauty rapture;
And as I forget to breathe
When to hold you near
Time wishes a longer moment
Before removing the stars and moon
With which your soul fills the sky.
