Poetry of Heart
Wishing, the Heart
The sun does shine with etching care,
So cool the touch upon the air,
And all these walls speaking still
To grasp and clench my strength of will.
Speaking, speaking, each silent plea
That comes to claim a hold on me,
As torrents claim a restless sea.
Wishing, searching upon the mind
But chaos there, the prize to find.
Wishing, hoping, of thee I see
Dreams of you taking hold on me.
Brush of cheek, caress of hair,
The day does find you, but tell me where?
So far, so distant, an age away,
What thought does find you,
What thought does sway?
Where can I reach you, hold you near,
What faith to find you, tell me dear?
How can I reach that distant part,
Of you that has laid claim my heart?
